Some More Ayobaness

Mixtape hype machine Spoek strikes again.

Shoe, this man does more for local music overseas than anyone else we know.

As soon as he has been credited with any involvement with a production or song, or something like this here mix, it is all over the blogosphere faster than you can say "Ayobaness".

We finally got round to listening to this one, we downloaded it a few weeks ago, but our playlist is quite big here, nevermind the dayjob responsibilites, so all in good time. [Ed. the end of this year will see some exciting developments btw]

But we digress, if you haven't got it yet, get it now.

Spoek Mathambo, H.I.V.I.P - United States of Ayobaness Mix (zShare) (MediaFire)

Tracklisting:

Spoek & So Called Friend - Fever (Hostage remix)
Crazy Couzinz - Bongo Jamz (Bokbok & L-Vsi1990 refix)
Alcapoem - Akuse
Sunship Ft. Warrior Queen - Almighty Father (Solid Groove remix)
Matt Shadetek - Wonton Garden
Spoek Mathambo & Jahdan Blackamore & 77Klash - Dem Nah Like It
La Roux - Bulletproof (Foamo remix)
Foamo - Wardance
Lykke Li - Dance Dance Dance (Buraka Som Sistema)
Kasi House Mafias - Bitch Made
DJ What What - Dreams
Red The Homeless GFunk Beatbox - I'ma Tell Your Mama On You

Sure, the mixing isn't great, but that's beside the point.
It's his influence to expose some much unheard local music (there's something to be said for the fact that some of this shit is bigger overseas than in our own country), to a much needed audience that is.

And for that sir, we applaude you.

Rather see this as a rad mixtape slapped together with a killer selection...
Well at least just the one side of a casette, since this comes in at a storming 21 minutes.
