This will also be King of Town's last set before he leaves for overseas.
For many a year he has been one of the most profound players on the local scene, a true pioneer in having started the whole mutant disco/nu-wave/dance punk - punk funk/indie dance/electro revolution in little S of A.
Together with his brother Mankazam and friends, they were responsible for the now legendary parties The Secret; and also the original Indie Thursdays at Tokyo Star in Melville back in the day.
He's come a long way since then with some official international remixes under his crown:
Desmond And The Tutus - Kiss You On The Cheek (King Of Town remix) [released in France on Tiger Sushi and big upped by Mylo, Optimo and Simian Mobile Disco to name a few]
They Came From The Stars, I Saw Them - Moon Song (King Of Town With Moonbeams In His Crown Remix) [sharing a 12" with Holy Ghost! for Thisisnotanexit in the UK].
They Came From The Stars, I Saw Them - Rabbit Seal Monkey (King Of Town Extra 1/4 Remix) [sharing a 12" with Tronik Youth, Hatchback and Emperor Machine for Thisisnotanexit in the UK]
So at the party listen up for those and some of his new as well as upcoming productions, including remixes of Franz Ferdinand, The Detachments, and The Phenomenal Handclap Band.
Represented by the same booking agents as Headphone Junkie favourites Aeroplane, we are sure he'll be booked up throughout the UK in no time.
We are going to miss you old friend.
God speed you King Of Town.
